Paul and Sandy Meagher, opened RE/MAX Wayne in Honesdale in 1993. Paul Sr. was raised on a Dairy Farm in Pleasant Mount, PA in Northern Wayne County. When not on the farm, his parents, Maurice Sr. and Margaret Meagher, were both teachers in the local school district for over 50 years. Paul graduated from Honesdale High School and then graduated from Mount St. Mary’s University. He became Vice President at Katz’s Underwear Factory in Honesdale, until he left there in 1988 to pursue his real estate career. Sandra, was born in Scranton, PA and graduated from Marywood University. She became the Elementary School Librarian in Honesdale for over 30 years. Paul and Sandra have been community servants their entire lives. Actively involved with various community/hospital/civic organizations and many times assuming the role as President, they have dedicated their lives to the betterment of our community! Paul and Sandra have 4 children and 9 grandchildren who all live in the Honesdale area. Tim Meagher, the youngest son of Paul and Sandra, graduated from Honesdale High School and then graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University. He worked in Business Development and Marketing in Toronto, Ontario Canada and Southern California prior to returning back to Honesdale to raise his family and join the family business. Heather (Edwards) Meagher, was born and raised in Lake Ariel, PA, she graduated from North Pocono High school and then graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University. Heathers Grandpa, Hap Edwards was well known in the Lake Ariel/Hamlin/Mount Cobb area for creating some of the nicest Housing Developments in that area. Heather worked as a Team Leader for a RE/MAX real estate office in Phoenix, Arizona prior to returning home. Heather and Tim met while working for RE/MAX in Wayne County. They now have 3 children and enjoy raising them, volunteering in the community, boating on Lake Wallenpaupack, and fishing on the Delaware River!

Tim sold our home in about 5 weeks and got pretty close to our ask! Tim and his staff were so incredibly knowledgeable every step of the way and anticipated our needs/qiestions before we even had to ask. Every time he was with our family it was always as though we had his full attention. I can’t say enough about his knowledge of the market and what would be our best bet in terms of what to do to the house in order to prepare to sell. He also sold us the house we moved into with our first offer…and it wasn’t even for sale, he listened to where we wanted to live and what we wanted in a house and found the perfect one! Since he was on the buying and selling side (and his office was in the buying side of our old home), everything was perfectly planned so we could close on our old and new home the same morning! He will literally walk with you every step of the way and couldn’t be more responsive if he tried! We have recommended Tim and his team to all of our friends and will continue to send people his way! I couldn’t come up with negative feedback even if I tried!
